How to create your own Feed for your Blog

Some new bloggers find it difficult to create their own feed for blog and offer Blog updates via Email as I have done in my blog.So I am posting this full detailed tutorial to get you make your own blog feed.

1.Open Feedburner.com and sign in with your Google Account.

2.In the following screenshot,it is showing a feed as Killer tricks, because I have already created one.But in your page,it will not show any feed if you haven't created yet.Type your blog URL in the box as I have typed and click on Next button.

3.Now a new page will open as Point your feed here,with two options either select Atom or select RSS,its your choice and again click om next button.(In this tutorial,I have selected RSS).

4.Now lets give your feed a name,type any name related with our blog in Feed Title and a feed address in Feed Address box(Remember,the Feed Address should be unique).

5.Now you will get a confirmation message that your feed is now live.Now click on skip directly to feed management.

6.Now click on Publicize and then Email Subscription option.

7.Your Email Subscription service for this feed is not yet activated.So activate it now by clicking on Activate button as in the following screenshot.

8.Now copy the whole code as highlighted and paste it in HTML/Javascript option in Layout>Add a Gadget and then save it.

9.Your blog will now offer updates to your visitors via Email.Subscribe your self and encourage others to do so.If you got any problem with any step,then feel free to contact me via comments.
