'My Dear Kuttichathan' (1984) in Malayalam was India's first stereoscopic movie. It had a ghost in it, but it was essentially a children's film and not a horror one. It was directed by Jijo Punnoose.

The same film was dubbed & released in Hindi as Chota Chetan in the same year as the original, and thereafter re-released again in 1998 after adding some scenes and new characters - including urmila Matondkar and Satish Kaushik. The new parts were in Hindi, the older ones were still dubbed.

However, the first horror film to use this technology (stereoscopic) was Tulsi & Shyam Ramsay's 'Saamri' in 1985.
